“Hail, Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen”
You are warmly invited to join our Rosary Group, which gathers every other week to pray together in a spirit of peace, reflection, and care. While the Anglican Rosary has its own prayers, our group uses the Marian Rosary traditionally prayed by Roman Catholics. Though the Rosary is often prayed privately, we have discovered the grace and strength that come from praying it together, bringing before God the needs of the church and the special intentions shared with us.
This brief service, lasting about 30 minutes, centers on the five mysteries in the life of Christ, from the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary through His Resurrection. Each mystery is prayed with a “decade” -- the Lord’s Prayer, ten Hail Mary’s (see above), and the closing prayers for that mystery.
We also allow time for quiet meditation on the prayers and on the intentions entrusted to God through our common prayer. The Rosary Group usually meets at 2:00 p.m. on alternate Thursday afternoons, and all church members and friends are welcome to come and share in this time of prayer.
