Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

The Episcopal Church Women work together throughout the year taking care of our parishioners and completing various service projects.  We give receptions for families of deceased members, showers for weddings and new babies, and serve meals for occasions such as Lessons and Carols in December, and Pentecost in the spring.  Our main fundraiser is making and selling soup, which helps fund service projects.  We also give soup to parishioners who have been in the hospital or have had a serious illness.  Each year ECW takes a go up to Camp McDowell's Special Session to spend the last night of camp and provide refreshments for the campers' dance.  The next day we make and serve lunch to the departing counselors and staff.  We also help provide camper supplies such as personal hygiene items, flashlights, sunscreen, ponchos, etc. By Miriam Shannon, President of Holy Comforter ECW
